New Article in Journal of Underrepresented & Minority Progress

I co-authored a new article with colleagues Kim Bullington (Old Dominion University) and Tameka Womack (Kennesaw State University) entitled “A Descriptive Quantitative Exploration of College Students of Promise During the COVID-19 Pandemic” in the Journal of Underrepresented & Minority Progress. In this study we explore the impact of the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on Students of Promise. In this quantitative exploratory study, we examined the extent to which there were financial, emotional, social impacts. Findings reveal their concerns surrounding COVID-19 and opinions on higher education factors. Implications are also discussed to include a deeper understanding of social mobility and advising.
