Darden Fellow Alumni Award from Old Dominion University

In March 2026, I traveled to Norfolk, VA on the campus of Old Dominion University where I recieved the Darden Fellow Alumni Award (see link) from the Darden College of Education & Professional Studies. This includes an induction into the “hall of fame.” It has been several years since I was last in Norfolk which was for the Southern Association for College Student Affairs/NASPA Region III annual conference. A longstanding tradition, Darden Fellows are nominated annually by faculty in each of the College’s departments. Selected from a pool of 47,000 Darden College alumni, awardees are recognized for significant contributions to their professional fields and for exemplifying service and excellence in their communities. This was an extreme honor to be nominated and recognized by my graduate alma mater where I earned my PhD degree.
