Homecoming to Old Dominion University

I am excited to share that I am returning to Old Dominion University in Fall 2026 as an Associate Professor of Higher Education and director of the VOICE Research Lab in the Department of Educational Leadership & Higher Education. This opportunity represents both a professional milestone and a meaningful homecoming. I look forward to contributing to ODU’s teaching, scholarship, and service missions while supporting and mentoring future higher education scholars, leaders, and practitioners.

Over the past several years at Delaware State University, I have been fortunate to chair 1030completed dissertations, support numerous doctoral students through proposal defense. From 2023 through 2026, I authored or coauthored 58 unique publications, including 37 peer-reviewed articles, 14 book chapters, five books or monographs, and professional publications. During the same period, I contributed to 88 conference presentations, invited sessions, workshops, and panels, representing 146 scholarly and professional contributions. I have also continued my work as series editor for Identity and Practice in Higher Education–Student Affairs.

I am deeply grateful to the students, colleagues, mentors, and collaborators who have supported my journey. I am especially honored to return to a university and academic community that have played such an important role in my professional development. I look forward to beginning this next chapter at ODU and continuing my commitment to doctoral education, higher education leadership, student success, and research that strengthens institutions and communities.
